John Lyshitski is a car stealing slacker, with a weed problem, and has been in Illinois' Rossmore State Penitentiary so many times, he knows it's entire population of both staff and cons by their fast names. Cursed with the old ill luck of being in the wrong place, at the wrong time, in possession of the wrong car, he's been deemed a lost cause repeat offender in the eyes of everyone else. When the heartless judge, who has been behind most of his sentences, goes to the big court house in the sky, John decides to ruin the man's legacy by having the judge's only offspring, Nelson Biederman IV, thrown in the slammer along with him. Here, the world-class selfish jerk learns a certain old lesson the hard way: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. But has John somewhat gone too far in the payback department?

This has to be one of the funniest movies I've seen for a long time. Brilliantly acted, directed and edited. Punchy script. Characters prepared. Nice plot twists, unpredictable but vaguely credible character development. It will not appeal to everyone, but if you have the stomach for it, (violence, gay themes, extremely strong language, etc) then it is a "must see". I've seen this Let's Go to Prison Comedy 3 times in 3 days, I grabbed her so hard. This DVD movie Let's Go to Prison is not your typical "prison" movie. Yes, it represents something very real about graphics, and the whole point is that Nelson is not just bad because he is a wuss (I spell that right?), But mainly because his cell-mate John is bribing other prisoners rioja beaten up, their lack of food, etc. But the way this DivX film Let's Go to Prison is put together is incredibly fun, despite the grim subject. In fact, I just noticed how dark it was, I was laughing so much. And, of course, be a comedy at heart, has a happy ending.

John Lyshitski (Dax Shepard) is a young man who in the past most of his life in prison, blaming the judge who sent them continuously, hatches her plan of revenge. But he died three days before being freed from the jail, so John decides to go after the judge's son Nelson (Arnet is brilliant "Arrested Development" fame) John Nelson's plan is part, was sent to jail and then get himself sent to prison in the same bed with him, which he performs. But things do not always go as planned, but afterwords. Personally I found this Let's Go to Prison film hilarious and really do not know why all this hatred towards him. Arnet is quite fun and Dax Shepard out of it plays very well. But the real star of the movie: Let's Go to Prison is Chi McBride as Barry, telling a rapist. Whenever he is on screen he had me in stitches. The Let's Go to Prison Comedy movie is not as good as Mr. Show was (hell, but what can it be?) But the director Bob Odenkirk still has a winner here. My Grade: B +

There are movies that follow a fairly obvious plot. There are films that you expect plot twist every ten minutes in advance. This certainly is one of those films. But then, why go to see comedy in search of a gripping plot lines? This is one of those films that have bombed in the wrong hands. Considering half of a mediocre director and cast, this movie: Let's Go to Prison would have been barely watchable. But under the care of Bob Odenkirk and a trio of skilled players, it is one of the funny film: Let's Go to Prison of the year. Let's be clear about one thing: this Let's Go to Prison Comedy movie is particularly subtle, dry humor. The situations are, by themselves, unintentionally funny. He played a different way, many of them would be frankly frightening. But the way the actors carry themselves through it, his timing, his facial expressions, highlighting the absurdity of the serious script. If you go in expecting the Let's Go to Prison Comedy to hit you in the face with everything he has, may be disappointed. But if you're prepared to pay attention and catch the nuances, as well as the broad strokes, you just stop laughing.
