| A guilt mounted, Bible reading, a former alcoholic insurgency against the murderer, Creasy (Washington), took a job as a bodyguard of a little girl (Fanning) in Mexico only to see her away under the nose of a crime cartel in Mexico. As expected, Washington is a man on a mission of revenge with the promise of "off" any person who has benefited from the girl's murder. According to his buddy (Walken), he is an artist, his art is death, and he is about to paint his masterpiece. "Man on Fire," which fared much better with the public that the critics, is a run of the mill action / drama that fills almost 2.5 hours in the course of the lots produced drama, action, super macho, and visual nuisance effects that do more to undermine that embellish. Washington is not the usual sweaty, muscular Schwarzenegger or Stallone an army man and subtitles to jump around on the screen and change the way sources zipping mouth speaking Spanish does not help. Nevertheless, "Man on Fire" could be worth a DVD rental for Denzel fans and should make for a small screen is not obvious clock. (B-) |
| This would have been, should have been, could have been a good movie. The argument is certainly attractive, and the performance was good. I've seen this DVD film Man on Fire because it is Denzel Washington, and he usually makes good movies. The disadvantage of this Man on Fire Crime movie (and really blinking) is the "ray of the storms' effects, which are so exaggerated that it seems they are trying to keep the audience awake, as if the plot itself was not able to achieve this . My eyes took a real beating in 147 minutes. With movies like this one to see, do not do drugs, just saw the movie. After ending the movie: Man on Fire beyond description is absurd, as illogical as anything I've ever seen. I will not give them away here in case you want to waste 147 minutes of your life in this dreck. nomad |
| Incredible, stunning and spiritually moving story about justice and the redemptive power of love. The hero, Creasy (played by Denzel Washington) is clearly haunted by something he did in the past, although they never learn what it was. What we do know is that he is tormented with guilt and despair, and do not really want to live until he takes a job as a bodyguard of a girl of 10 years, Pita Ramos (Dakota Fanning). Pita gives Creasy a reason to live, and, Creasy votes revenge on their captors. Beautiful, fascinating images of Mexico City, and moody, atmospheric cinematography make this Man on Fire Crime a masterpiece. I have seen several times. |
| This Man on Fire Crime is absolutely incredible - the dialogue, casting, acting, and the excitement brought by this DivX film Man on Fire alone. To do, basically, a sad death, ready man, and for the girl is hired to protect. (Nobody could have played better than this character Denzel) You see the sadness and anger will see you and thank you for the new life through his relationship with the girl (someone might have the character of Dakota Fanning, but did work excellent). To stop the plot points with a second that you know someone did an excellent job in the process of shooting when you see a man changes not only physically but emotionally and feel that change happen. Back to the plot ... deeper in their relationship to the girl is kidnapped and Denzel's character is injured in the fight for it. Once outside the hospital who swears revenge and death to all those involved in the abduction. Great plot twists, which obviously is not whether intentional intentional include all lawyers in the family, a very special police, and the father of the girl child ....( spoiler) The best part of all this Man on Fire film is that leads one to believe that the girl is dead, even throw in a scene in order to believe that he is alive and when they discover that they are not talking about it, fully convinced that she is dead. But she did not. That was great. For personal honest and cried like a baby when she left the car and ran to Denzel. This was possibly an incredible Man on Fire film Denzel increasingly acting and an amazing script that not only makes sense, but it makes you feel. 10/10 |
