| Direct to video, you always have reduced expectations. So this really grabs you. Good to see Michael Rooker playing a good guy. That's part of what works. He has that ability to turn bad at any time. As a kicking, devil-whomping priest! Again with this kind of Shadow Builder Horror movie you do not expect the best special effects, you have to appreciate that people care enough about this story to do so as they did in a buget button. |
| As a direct video to this story is not half bad. Shadowbuilder is a short story inspired by Bram Stoker. The first shadow when God created the world flooded with light to sink back into eternal darkness. I think. This DVD film Shadow Builder reminded me a lot of the mummy in the structure. Mal friend back to life drawing powers that devours souls amid a spate of CGI. The DVD movie Shadow Builder relies heavily on CGI that I did not like it at first. But if we accept that it is more a fantasy horror Shadow Builder Horror film to acknowledge its reality, very well done. Also, the devil is not so bad. The garish pink monstrosity (it is pink) on the cover of DVD has led me to believe that it would be chopped around a yawn inducing the man in a rubber suit with horns, but I was pleasantly surprised. Very good use of shadows and darkness, so that what is left of the creature to his imagination. Just the way it should be. Some parts of the DivX film Shadow Builder drags a lot and there are not many great moments. But that does not mean that there is no at all. | Recently I saw this piece of crap on TV and Polish phew! what a stinker, I can not believe the good comments people give here.Michael Rooker, who gave us an incredible performance of Henry Lee Lucas in "Henry: Portrait of a serial murderer" is completely lost as a priest well-armed Yes right! Although there are some effective sequences (in particular the principle of the film), the overall effect is lame.The seems to me a DivX Movie Shadow Builder and television lacks scares, gore and violence.The is acting well, I suppose, but CGI - these effects are terrible and the plot is boring.So if you are looking for a good horror movie, and then try to avoid this at all costs one. |
| You can buy this little dog in a bin cut WalMart for less than $ 6, so what's the harm? Has modest FX reasonably efficient execution of a murderer, Michael Rooker, slumming here as a gun-toting priest in track PURE EVIL, and handsome, young Canadian Kevin Zegers thesp happened to star in such masterpieces as KOMODO and AIR BUD several films. Zegers also star in the 2004 remake of DAWN OF THE DEAD. And (very low) based on a Bram (DRACULA) Stoker story! Like Bram Stoker's curse of the mummy! What more could one ask for? Hey, is not worse than any of those HP Lovecraft "adjustments" that emerged from the wood in the late 80s and early 90s. I am thinking in particular of the five young people are trapped in a house with a guy and his wife who kept chained in the attic. "She becomes a sort of devil horns with big breasts. | Warning: possible spoiler. Please take note. I may get flak for this, but I liked this DVD movie Shadow Builder because the character of Michael Rooker. Why? His charcter exemplifies the tragic hero, like the Shakespear Othello or Oedipus Rex Sophocles. If you have not studied the charcteristics of atragic hero in literature class, is a high level of conflict that faces a dilemma, which can cause fatal consequences ... Without explaining too much, I will not go further but to say that this was well within the genre of horror. What I hate: the performance of Kevin Zegers (made prior to the outbreak of air), Tony Todd and meaning of two unnecessary cameo scenes with nudity. 6 out of ten stars. |
| I love this movie. It has a fairly original plot and is well directed and filmed. The effects are generally quite good, particularly the devil. There are some interesting characters, like the priest and the murderer crazy dude repair man played by Tony "Candyman" Todd. Kevin Zegers as demons victim adds a touch of class to the DivX Movie Shadow Builder with his thoughtful and credible image of Chris. The DivX Movie Shadow Builder just screams 1980's direct to video horror, but with a bigger budget and better effects. Some people seem to think that this is a critical, but if one takes into account how popular horror movies of 1980, I do not see it as a criticism of all, I just saw the Shadow Builder Horror as a retro film. What really makes the DivX Movie Shadow Builder highlights the broad outlines are a priest ... walks into the police station and said "I am looking for a child." Police man responds, "Is not it illegal for the father?" the priest replies that "F ** k off!". You just have to love it! |
