| When I saw this movie, I was thinking that was very similar to a book I read. No one has heard of a book with a similar plot? I would be interested in finding the name and author of this book, if so. I thought the Edtv Comedy film was an interesting premise. Sounds like a lot of reality shows like big brother. But the end was more in line with my own point of view. I do not see reality shows, and I do not want to be in one. I very much appreciate my privacy to allow the whole world will be watching my every move, and all the comments about my decision and action. In general, I would say that the Edtv Comedy is worth a trip to the theater (Whoops, I guess I'm referring to the video store or library) |
| This Edtv Comedy film has been unfairly compared to 'The Truman Show. "Although the two movies about the same topic, view the two go in different directions. Matthew McConaughey (Ed) and Jenna Elfman (Shari) are terrible as the couple trying to meet but are forced to face the camera at every turn. Woody Harrelson (Ray) is great as the lecherous, voluble and then bitter brother (I will not spoil by telling you why). Ellen DeGeneres (Cynthia) is higher than cable TV exec is that eventually divided between work and conscience. Rob Reiner (Whitiker) does a brilliant job as the chief exec is a bastard. The direction of Ron Howard is smooth and the editing is even better when you get the DVD and see how much was left out. Could easily have been stuck for too long and detailed. In total there are big laughs to be had especially when Ed and Jill (Liz Hurley) have to go on a date and in fact may have to "run" for the cameras. Do not ask the question "How far will ensure television ratings?" This issue is constantly being answered ... This is just great fun. Try not to analyze too much or ruin it for yourself ... |

| EDTV is a great DivX film Edtv that shows that life in the cameras can be very annoying after a long period of time.
