| Let me say upfront that I am a big fan of Judi Dench and I think it deserves the Oscar for Ms. Brown and not Helen Hunt As Good as It Gets. The Academy has its error and subsequently gave Ms. Dench an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for Shakespeare in Love ... but it is time for a Best Actress Oscar. I have read a number of comments from men who found all sorts of Itsy Bitsy things wrong with it .... such niceties. This is not a "small film" film, but a woman reigns supreme. Besides a good cast and the fine acting, the opening credits worth the price of admission. Add to that the costumes and music and have an all-around a hell of a movie. Dench and Hoskins to see in action is to see the players in the top of their game. " Yes, the DivX Movie Mrs Henderson Presents can be a bit too long ... I think most of the stories can be told in 90 minutes ... and some characters could have been a bit more "developed" but, having said all that, I 9 3 / 4 10 3 3 / 4 of 4 stars. |
| Superb performances by Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins that this 2005 film. It is a fantastic example of British cinema doing what he does best. The combination of an adjustment period with humor, pathos and tragedy is a DivX film Mrs Henderson Presents that takes you from laughter to tears within minutes. Judi Dench's opening scene takes us from the sobriety and a controlled environment before the war aristocratic English for the funeral of a moment of emotional release in the apparent privacy of a rowboat on a river English. Ms. Henderson faces the loss of his father for failing to attend morning coffee or charity functions, but by buying the Windmill Theater and placed in a bawdy burlesque magazine. Enter Bob Hoskins as Vivian Van Damm, smoking cigars Dutch Jewish theater manager. The two have a love hate relationship that has served well the chemistry between the two of them is electric. (Possible spoiler) At a time when Mrs Henderson, Vivian Van Damm approaches after receiving the news of the round of the Dutch Jews by the Nazis. This scene is underestimated by the sensitivity that these two actors elicited an emotional response in me and all the people were viewing the movie. Excellent casting Leo Davis. Kelly Reilly is the monitor in 2006. Thelma Barlow and Christopher Guest is hilarious as Lord and Lady Cromer Conway. Martin Sherman script is smart, witty and touching. I went with a tear in my eye and joy in my heart. Lose. Will Young and can act and sing. |
| This Mrs Henderson Presents film is very funny. Judi Dench is a great way to see how a brash, rich, sometimes naive woman who buys a theater as a hobby after the death of her husband. Add the fire and life to each scene in which she has an excellent relationship on screen with Bob Hoskins. The nudity is handled very well. The audience was completely silent when it first appeared to girls in all their God-given glory. I believe that nobody wanted to be heard to react in any way. But after a while became the nudity in the Mrs Henderson Presents Comedy movie as secondary to the story as did the audience. There are characters and their relationships that you care about the Second World War, and then starts all of the madness of Hitler. They become the real focal points. If you go to the theater knowing what is in favor, you have a wonderful time. Is done well and has a good story with great actors. There are some lines that are very, very funny. Audience members of all ages were clapping when it was finished and you, too. |

The period detail, show the numbers of songs and production are very nice and the story is alternately very funny and very sad and moving. The previous reviewer did not seem to keep in mind that a Mrs Henderson Presents movie about a drama, it shows that with a singer ... is obliged to hold back the things people try, people singing - the film, after all, is a movie: Mrs Henderson Presents about a theater! What else did expect to see? Do not let "peteranderson 's badly written exam put off - all that achieves is to show a poor vocabulary (he did not know synonyms for" good "?) And an aversion to Will Young, who says more about what you made on the film: Mrs Henderson Presents or the performance of Will Young. |
