| Creek is a Mean Creek Drama movie is amazing. It's so refreshing to see a good movie, when so many others around now worthless. There are many things of great half Creek, and some not so good things. The writing is excellent, the location is great. The act is so well done, it seems more real than half the "reality" television program on television today. The young actors who comprise Trevor Morgan, Ryan Kelley, Scott Melchowitz, Rory Culkin, Shroader Carley and Josh Peck. I was amazed by their performances. Something else that makes it so only Creek. This is the cinematography (sp?). Most of the film's action takes place in one day, in a stream. The shooting of the gorge is so beautiful, large doses of the same stream, water, forests around them, and there are some great pictures of animals that call the creek home. The purpose of half Creek is extreme and dramatic, which is another source of amazement to the young actors in this movie! The main theme revolves around the themes of forgiveness and revenge. The first five children in a simple plan for revenge on the bully trick, however, something terrible happens Åre all children are forced to make an extremely difficult task situiton in only a matter of minutes. The end is a bit ambiguous and open-ended. That, in my opinion is good in some ways, but would have liked more closure on the fate of children. I'm surprised by the lack of representation in the sample for the award for this picture. I truly believe that this film: Mean Creek underestimated and under light, because it is an indie debut and is one of the directors. |
| *** Creek means 1/2/out 4 "Mean Creek" is the most accurate representation of teenage life and teenage years that I've seen in a movie. Unlike "Thirteen," which is a stereotypical image and seeks to give answers and resolutions, "half creek" sticks in adolescence and life as a kind of beauty. The young actors and actresses do a great job, but Carly Schroeder as Millie is the best. She arrives at your gut like the innocent child who is in the wrong place at the wrong time. One of the most memorable for me in the Mean Creek movie is when the Bully, George, was filming with his video camera and zoom in on an exotic form of spiral, said: "This is my life." This is a bright line, because adolescence is a horrible and difficult stage in life. High school (oneself) are filled with a variety of emotions and feelings and "Mean Creek" that portrays this power. As the "Liberation", the Mean Creek Drama movie focuses on a canoe trip that goes totally wrong and "Mean Creek" has some issues that "Liberation" has. Jacob Aaron Estes is a director who has had a great start making movies that are totally honest in all respects. |
