In 1950-something New York, an adventuresome free-lance photographer finds himself confined to a wheelchair in his tiny apartment while a broken leg mends. With only the occasional distraction of a visiting nurse and his frustrated love interest, a beautiful fashion consultant, his attention is naturally drawn to the courtyard outside his 'rear window' and the occupants of the apartment buildings which surround it. Soon he is consumed by the private dramas of his neighbors lives which play themselves out before his eyes. There is 'Miss Lonelyhearts,' so desperate for her imaginary lover that she sits him a plate at the dinner table and feigns their ensuing chat. There is the frustrated composer banging on his piano, the sunbathing sculptress, the shapely dancer, the newlyweds who are concealed from their neighbors by a window shade, and a bungling middle-aged couple with a little yapping dog who sleep on the fire escape to avoid the sweltering heat of their apartment. ...And then there is the mysterious salesman whose nagging, invalid wife's sudden absence from the scene ominously coincides with middle-of-the-night forays into the dark, sleeping city with his sample case. Where did she go? What's in the trunk that the salesman ships away? What's he been doing with the knives and the saw that he cleans at the kitchen sink?

Pretentious DVD movie Rear Window scholars say Citizen Kane, a point of hope and romantic Casablanca Gone with the Wind, love IMDB voters Godfather, and Brittany Spears fans choose Titanic, but for my money is the Hitchcock DVD film Rear Window of all time best American movie: Rear Window . It was the first DivX Movie Rear Window I've seen of the master, and 26 films later, is still my favorite. Anyone who only knows Hitchcock Psicosis or Bird, or for Stewart overbloated Capra rate should be revised. The base is a story of voyeurism, and the first half hour has no real plot. But you are engrossed in the lives of people in the wheelchair is peering into Stewart. This is a Hitchcock movie, of course, there must be a murder, too, and that's when the real fun begins. To reveal anything else would be criminal. The performances are stunning from all sides, particularly Stewart Thelma Ritter as the nurse. Grace Kelly is fascinating as ever. But this is the Rear Window Mystery film Stewart. I'm confused by those who claim to be his best Vertigo performance. I was so disturbed and unlikeable in that movie. * This is his masterpiece, * Hitchcock, and all the movies in history.

I always loved the Hitchcock "Psycho," so when I learned that it would be seen "Rear Window" in my college class cinema excites me. Surprisingly, I did not know much about the film, and had never seen before. It is very fun to see a classic for the first time. The Rear Window film is so full of suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end. When "Jeff" (James Stewart) spies on his neighbor continually believe that he is a murderer, the plot thickens. I love mysteries, and I was not sure if the whole Rear Window Mystery film i also think there has been a murder, or if maybe I thought "Jeff" was paranoid. Hitchcock major components used to build suspense as POV (Point of View) shots that really make you feel the character. He was apparently trapped in that defenseless wheelchair her. I also loved the way Hitchcock does not only include the top story of the neighbor, but also many other neighbors around the courtyard. Below, Miss Lonely Hearts was also "Jeff" s voyeurism. This Rear Window Mystery film is interesting for 1954, a Peeping Tom at the time were not accepted, let alone as the "hero". It broke the barriers for women who are "overnight", and dancing around their underthings. This Rear Window movie has undoubtedly become a new favorite of mine, and I would recommend it to any fan of the DVD film Rear Window out there that have not yet seen.
