| Most people, especially youth, can not understand this movie. It seems a story of loss, when in fact it is a story about being alone. Some people may not feel the loneliness of this level. Johnson Cheadle character reflects the total opposite Sandlers character Fineman. When Johnson felt trapped by his blessings, Fineman was trying to forget his life in the same perspective. Jada is a wonderful additive to the cast and Sandler brings tears. Cheadle had the comic role and was a strong advocate of Sandler. I can see an Oscar. An excellent movie. If you have ever felt lost and alone, this Reign Over Me Drama film will assure that you are not alone. Jerry |
| I just returned from a selection of a couple of hours, and I was very happy with the Reign Over Me Drama movie when I left. It is very intense, and the closest I've come to mourn in a Reign Over Me movie in a while. Which is a credit to Adam Sandler, which offers a magnificent performance on many levels, and probably deserves an Oscar for his name, if not come out so early in the year. Don Cheadle gives his usual superb performance of the play straight man to Adam disturbed. There is some humor, but most fun is really only in comparison with the tearjerking moments, as Adam deals with loss and Don struggles to help him. Adam has two very good ... when he is mentally stable that is fun and enjoyable, but when he is thus less stable than the powerful and dark. I recommend it for anyone who likes mental dramas about the friendship and the loss hard. |

Written and directed by Binder (who co-stars Sandler as a former best friend and acting counter) with equal parts of humor and genuine anguish DVD movie Reign Over Me works best when the two stars share the screen until the last act part in a DivX Movie Reign Over Me about a week with molasses to tidy solution to the issues involved. |
