| Dick Tracy is one of my favorite movies of all time. I must admit that those who have not seen. You either really love or really hate. Came a year after the success of Batman. Therefore, the expectations were so high that many were disappointed, simply because the plot is so simple. However, based on his comic ... What to expect? Creative, this movie: Dick Tracy is amazing! The sets, makeup, music, costumes, and impressive acting make this DVD movie Dick Tracy fantastic. The Dick Tracy movie contains violence and bloodshed, not bad language - which is something rare these days. Directed, produced, and stars Warren Beatty as an ace crime fighter goes against Al Pacino's bad guy Caprice and his gang of thugs. Madonna steals the show as the seductive breath Mahoney. This is one of the best characters played by Madonna. She has the best line I've ever heard! Madonna fans love it! One thing about the film: Dick Tracy is that only seven colors are used to make it appear a comic. This Dick Tracy movie is truly a work of art that is sadly overlooked by the public. Finally, this DVD film Dick Tracy shows that the child in us all. It'sa DVD film Dick Tracy that will leave you smiling at the end. |
| Too much style and not enough substance. Summarizes the effort of 1990, faithfully based on the popular comic strip about the no-nonsense private dick in the trench coat and fedora yellow. Director Warren Beatty is decent in the title role of Tracy concerns grotesque villains, a rambunctious young boy and the demands of the two loves of his life - and his girlfriend Tess Trueheart work. Things are further complicated when it is framed for murder and attempts to unravel a mystery set in motion by the mysterious man with no face. Worst of "Dick Tracy" - and is not quite a terrible DVD film Dick Tracy - is that the plot is not as consistent. Simply go from one scene to another without much thought or consequence. It plays more like a series of old series such that a Dick Tracy film Cliffhanger uninterrupted. And Madonna, like a lounge singer breath Mahoney is annoyingly trampy. In his defense, "Dick Tracy" is probably the greatest comic book feel of any film. His use of color, makeup and music, it is sometimes surprising to see. But none of this is the story height. It's like the writers felt that what Tracy to the big screen (it was not long after "Batman" exploded in the theater) was sufficient. Get the detective on the screen and the rest will follow. Warren Beatty and performance of in-your-face direction are not entirely successful. The name of the seemingly endless list also becomes dizzying. Al Pacino (Oscar nominated) steals every scene and pulls a Jack Nicholson in "Batman" in his hat. "Dick Tracy" is a good movie, but far from a masterpiece. 4 of 5 stars. |
