| When the French army took control of the country we call Mexico, which has one of the factors to help them dominate the population. . . fear! The use of fear through, warning, torture and execution simply work, but not in the way they thought it was. The French had a well brutality had the disastrous consequence of the consolidation of people, friends and hundreds of mercenaries into an avenging force. Although there are many stories of the revolution, several films stand out as classics. Professionals, is a favorite, is another, "Two Mules for Sister Sara." In America we have this story of a mercenary (Clint Eastwood) who has known Hogan bitter memories of the Civil War and decided to try for a quick fortune in gold in Mexico. He agreed to help Mexico Col. Beltran (Manuel Fabregas) to the French garrison in exchange for half the cash. Along the way, Hogan joined by a Catholic nun traveling, call Sister Sara (Shirley MacLaine), who has more secrets that only the fear of being captured by the French. Innicially captured by three drinking whiskey red strip, humiliate and threaten the beautiful nun, she becomes an amazing and necessary ally. In their questions, which save the lives of each other until the end, Hogan was totally shocked when the sister of Sarah, who reveals his secret and more. I loved the movie, which is particularly disturbing and memorable theme at the beginning of the film. Superb! **** |
| Sure, he's here in the shadow of his more famous Western Leone, but this vehicle, nicely directed by Don Siegel with the help of an Ennio Morricone score peculiar, it's a bit entertaining spaghetti western knockoff filmed in Mexico. Story-wise, it's an old western, Heaven knows Mr. Allison with a comical, with an unconventional nemesis in the French army. The mood of the chemistry between Eastwood and MacLaine Hogan Sara clicks so well that sometimes it is difficult to believe that apparently are not very well during production. Although when it comes to Shirley MacLaine nothing really surprises me. As far as Eastwood Spaghetti later films, he rarely is in better shape than this. Basically continue unnamed man in person is much more dialogue on this occasion that develops your character and makes it a little more than three dimensions. It is a good change of pace from the Leone westerns Clint peak to hear some humorous lines and the odd facial expression is hilarious squinting in between your brand and snarling and chomping cigars. Disciples of the trilogy Leone may never warm up to a certain Clint hammier in this, but as Clint West Hollywood's go, this is a fun and well done duster. Should not be missed. |
| This is a different type of western with a shocking ending. Clint Eastwood and Shirley McClain had great chemistry and gave great performances, especially Clint Eastwood. It was fun to see a good story. Very entertaining! |
| This Two Mules for Sister Sara War movie is a good change of pace for Clint Eastwood Western. While in some ways the character that Clint is not very different from some of his previous jeans (which is a great weapon and is motivated by greed to the end .... ... as in a few dollars PARA MAS), the chemistry of the addition of Shirley MacLaine really change the film. Together, they create a stake, even though not exactly credible. However, despite being hard to believe, the film: Two Mules for Sister Sara is so funny and so well written and acted, which really does not matter. The Two Mules for Sister Sara War movie was made in Mexico with many Mexican players. This, combined with a somewhat restrained score by Ennio Morricone, who see this DivX Movie Two Mules for Sister Sara in many respects as a "Spaghetti Western", but was funded and directed by Americans. For these reasons, the DVD movie Two Mules for Sister Sara is like a bridge Eastwood westerns before his most recent. About the only negative about the DivX film Two Mules for Sister Sara that is not how difficult it was to believe that the place sometimes, is that the "secret" about the nature of MacLaine does not seem that big of a surprise, however, the ... Eastwood supremely intelligent and knew I had no idea! This was the hardest part to believe! However, the Two Mules for Sister Sara War remains highly entertaining and well worth seeing. My wife, who hates the west, actually saw and enjoyed me so I guess that this cowboy pic could have a wider audience than some westerns. Incidentally, the mules, exactly, do you mean?! This confused me to think that way must have lost something! |
