| I wanted to see this DVD movie Perfume: The Story of a Murderer for the book, of course. But my enthusiasm was gone after only 20 minutes to see it. Needless to say, at the end of the Perfume: The Story of a Murderer Drama film I was very disappointed. Sorry if I am too negative, but this is my point of view. This was supposed to be a thriller, with all the situations of tension and at least a little suspense, but I was not really feeling anything. The main character, Ben Whishaw, has a gift to show both subtle and obvious emotions and the plot moves with great pace, culminating in a way that would never have believed possible. There are scenes that make you shudder and laugh. We wonder if John the Baptist is an autistic child scientist, a demented psychopath or a savage poor soul in need of nothing but tenderness. Any Perfume: The Story of a Murderer film bends your mind and eye glasses. I have always dreamed of the book was filmed and was asked who would dare they happen. So when I discovered the Perfume: The Story of a Murderer Drama film was in fact a reality that almost could not believe it, but I am concerned that no artist could do justice to the book.
