In New York, Alex Hitchen (Will Smith) is a kind of sentimental advisor, teaching each client how to date the woman of his dream. His present case is helping the clumsy Albert (Kevin James) to date the wealthy and powerful Allegra Cole (Amber Valletta). We have seen this many times before the plot, but this rarely creative. The dialog in this DVD movie Hitch is well above average, as are the fixtures for the "geeks" that coupling (Smith) consuls reunion with the girls of their dreams. Why are there no women in the Hitch film seems need your services? Perhaps because they are all models? This Hitch Romance would have been just a "chick movie" if not for the wonderful physical comedy of Kevin James as Albert then a gawky but smart lawyer who is a lover of Uma Thurman looks like.
