Tony Stark is the complete playboy who also happens to be an engineering genius. While in Afghanistan demonstrating a new missile he's captured and wounded. His captors want him to assemble a missile for them but instead he creates an armored suit and a means to prevent his death from the shrapnel left in his chest by the attack. He uses the armored suit to escape. Back in the U.S. he announces his company will cease making weapons and he begins work on an updated armored suit only to find that Obadiah Stane, his second in command at Stark industries has been selling Stark weapons to the insurgents. He uses his new suit to return to Afghanistan to destroy the arms and then to stop Shane from misusing his research.

I am totally amazed at how the Iron Man has brought many good comments. This Iron Man Thriller film is terrible! Nothing interesting happens in this whole movie! This is, basically, is: capturing rioja, constructs a suit, flies around it, a couple of bad jokes, beat an old man in another suit, the end ..... One of the most boring films I have ever seen. Anyway, this Iron Man film had nothing to it except the good effects on the demand side, thats it. I really did not like this movie. I thought it was absolutely boring and had no history whatsoever. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because again, the dress looked good, I have respect for director Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. as an actor. But still could not save this Iron Man film from being as bad. I saw this Iron Man movie with a friend and they could not stop laughing at the way this DVD movie Iron Man was boring and stupid.

The playboy wolf and genius Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is the success of the CIO of Stark Industries, a weapon company founded by his father. His second in command is Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges), who worked with his father, and his loyal secretary and professional Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), who has a crush on Tony. While in the end prove to Afghnistan Jericho missile developed by his company, his military convoy is attacked and Tony is seriously wounded in the chest and kidnapped by a group of rebels who want him to assemble a missile for use. Tony stays with his abductors for three months and develops a powerful metallic armor to escape the cave where he is detained. Decides to stop manufacturing weapons in their company under the protest of Obadiah, and dedicates his time to improve the armor, manufacturing of gold and titanium and the installation of a propulsion system to fly. However, pepper, Tony discovers that he was betrayed by Obadiah, Tony uses the data to build prototype armor for him, making it the ultimate weapon. "Iron Man" is a fun adventure with great special effects and a good, fun story, and nothing else. However, the User Rating of Top 250: # 192 is completely overrated and offensive to the great films of cinema history. The formula might indicate IMDb vote movies with massive and high-grade, but never more movies in the DivX film Iron Man industry. My vote is seven. Title (Brazil): "Homem de Ferro" ( "Iron Man")
