| Fiennes is a bit on my nerves. I think that is how they pronounce his name. But I must admit that this Spider Drama movie was excellent, probably the best Cronenberg. It's the kind of DVD film Spider I love. Slowly and well. It is beautiful to see, and a gas works never looked more impressive (even better than the one in the Oval Office). Byrne and Richardson are also good, and you probably guess the end, but it is a great end to a great movie. 2003 has started well in the cinema. |
| I loved this movie! The novel is based on that, you must have a lot of theories of Freud, the psyche, as it only reflects the movie. And so perfect. Cronenberg has reached a point where he is a mature talent. It is a brilliant exploration of the unconscious, of Edipus Complex, and guilt. Cronenberg makes Edipus Complex here, Lynch did for The nightmare in "Mullholland Dr." We really Gleg "Spider" 's account. And it is very worrying and frightening inside. Not quite everyone. The cast did an excellent job. All my compliments go to Fiennes, especially Miranda Richardson playing three different characters with a talented teacher. She shows that life is no justice at the Oscars. If you study psychology or psychiatry and go see it! It is a must see. If you like the movie, go see too. One of the best of the year. |
| We see Spider (Ralph Fiennes) at the moment, trying to live on a pension who has mercy on those who must legally be in mental institutions, and in parallel action, see what reliving their childhood, are doomed to see the play events over and over again like a powerless observer as he felt when it happened initially. This film: Spider is a mystery in the character and history of Ralph Fiennes' character. A bit of his film, which deals with the mind of a disturbed little man, and a patient movie. Its also a very mature Cronenberg film, where he has finished with the shock tactics of the past, and the results are delicious. But if you do not like the films of the patient (and may see it as a slow Spider film - do not expect major action, expect to see a fascinating character - and perhaps discover why it is so hectic), see some of the efforts Cronenberg's previous location. It is not very big or important a movie: Spider - not one of the most important films of 2002, but if you've seen the most important decisions, and looking for something different, the spider can be an interesting experience for you air. 8 / 10. Perhaps it was only in the perfect mood for it, but I loved the spider. I thought it was a beautiful character study and the atmosphere. Spider is a real character, vividly brought to life by Ralph Fiennes. |
| In David Cronenberg's brilliant psychological thriller, the excellent Ralph Fiennes gives a standout performance as Cleg Spider, a man who is released from a mental institution, and is forced to relive the horrors of his childhood, around the East End. Fiennes is magnificent in the lead role, and Miranda Richardson is superb in its three functions. Gabriel Byrne, Lynn Redgrave and John Neville help bring all throughout the film, which sometimes can be a little slow. I liked this film: Spider because it is similar to A Beautiful Mind, which also focused on mental illness. This is one of my greatest movies of all time, and I think the results are issued from the impeccable. |
