| I thought this was a great action movie. I'm really in this genre of films. I do not particularly like Sylvester Stallone, but was quite good in this movie. Julianne Moore was good but I think she would have been better if his role was bigger. However, I think Antonio Banderas stole the show. It was as good as the psychopathic murderer. I loved the scenes persecution. Especially the scene in a taxi. Miguel Bain's (Banderas) just oozed evil as he played this scene. Robert Rath (Stallone) Bain wanted to kill so badly during this scene. I loved the explosions. I just had a good thought. Bain Rath always flew out the window, and then showed Bain in the bathtub, you should not have more than they showed the wounds? I do not know. Maybe it was just me. Anyway. This movie: Assassins had violence, but not as much as most films of this genre do not. I thought we had enough. The final was very good. Bain seems as if only not to die. An invincible villain! How many times have you seen that in this type of movies? Well, I do not have much to say about this Assassins Thriller movie except that I liked and thanks for reading my review! Bye! |
| Sylvester Stallone, Antonio Banderas, and Julianne Moore star in this action film: a battle of hired assassins. Stallone has had so many bad roles before, but this is one of the best roles I've seen in. He will continue five years later with a similar role in Get Carter. However, a real hit-man would not have hesitated to waste a woman. Antonio Banderas seems out of character as a murderer. Was up with the most emotional outbursts and impatience. These seem very unusual success of a murderer in their way. Julianne Moore, changed the character of a calm, cool in a poor helpless girl, women after the reunion Bumbling Stallone. How convenient! Many of the Richard Donner films have similar problems. However, there are pleasant enough action and tension development to enjoy the film, while suspending a lot of belief ... a lot of belief. *** Of 4 stars. |
| This Assassins Thriller movie is action packed and definitely worth seeing for any fan of action movies. I'm surprised by the low rating that has so far IMDb. Two of my favorite actors are in the film, Antonio Banderas and Sylvester Stalone. I heard the DVD film Assassins is written by the same people who made the parent and I can see that. Any DVD movie Assassins with Banderas is usually good, and this is no exception. :) If someone likes movies like Enemy snipers at the gates or Leon the professional, this is definitely a Assassins film worth seeing. You will not regret it. |
| There are some details that makes me think of the matrix in this movie. Gunfighting The scenes are really good, especially since they are very quiet - the murderers used silencers which adds a new flavor to the well-used plate. I love that part. Banderas is great to see as usual. It is simply not someone with their body language and mime elsewhere. Stallone does a good job too, actually. And Julianne Moore, though - who can say anything bad about her? Entertaining, fast-moving - and please! Check back to shooting. |
