| Plse note: spoilers below! I have found this Panic Room film to be just a mediocre thriller were it not for one major flaw that ruined the whole Panic Room Thriller for me. This error was the scene of the injection. Anyone who knows anything about diabetes who knows when someone is suffering from low blood sugar and is verging into a coma the last thing you would do with them is the injection of insulin (which would give just cause for enter into a coma that much faster and most likely kill them). Even if the syringe containing a solution of sugar, the Panic Room Thriller film should have known that to be less effective than it has little to be injected directly into the bloodstream from the stomach nonwoven. Not only is it insulting for people with diabetes around the world that the film-makers could not be bothered to get the facts right about this deadly disease, but this description could result in a tragedy. Anyone using this scene as a basis for trying to help someone suffering from low blood sugar could end up killing them. Other minor flaws with the film: how might Forest Whitaker is in the nature of what character of Jodie Foster when she was doing was trying to ignite the gas, how likely is it that the character of Jodie Foster who know how to return the phone , a light push on the sofa in front of the door is not terribly effective in blocking the door when it is clear that Jodie Foster was not a problem later in the Panic Room film to open the door, etc, etc, etc. Very poorly designed and executed. Shame on you. |
| Panic Room was rather forced. The suspense built and built, but nothing. When things took a turn for the worse, there seems to be a more reasonable that the characters had. Since I could not believe the story, I was riveted by the Panic Room Thriller film only once or twice. The camera work was fantastic and there were only a few tricks that can not be physically uprooted without some magic. The characters are interesting and well acted, especially Jodie Foster's character (the mother). Even the real estate is interesting. Panic Room is a fun but ultimately forgettable. I will not see her again. If you want a good thriller, see "Other" instead of video. |
| I often wonder what writers have in their minds when writing a screenplay. Obviously the money and dollar signs - however the bad news is that Hollywood is the purchase of bad scripts and make movies. The plot is absolutely incredible and it makes no sense, ie: a woman and her daughter (who looks and behaves like your son in the film) is the purchase of a mansion with 30 rooms - like - as is a trip to Disneyland. His ex (shot by one of the thieves) just sits in his chair like a rag doll - the woman does not mind helping him - not even to call an ambulance. When one of the robbers is about to finish off towards the end of the Panic Room movie - from your child (whatever that is) is "on fire" and screaming like crazy - instead of helping. This is the only Panic Room movie in which they expressed the desire of the two players who died instantly from the bad guys - just to do with it. |
| You know, I really liked this Panic Room movie until the end ... *** SPOILERS !!!*** I'll try to write this so that it does not reveal too much, but my big problem with the DVD film Panic Room is that they have finished with you-know-who is escaping with the money. I mean he did the right thing throughout the movie, and I was sure that the movie: Panic Room would end with the police to return to the house. Jodie Foster would be on it and say it is a neighbor and she had nothing to do with the robbery, let escape with the money. I mean ... he saved the life! So, in the end, he does the right thing and gets screwed by it. I hated this. Yes ... perhaps is more "realistic", but does not always go to the cinema to see the realism. Killian |
| I do not think I could have done this movie, but without the help of my lights are on. The only measure that is passed in the room was the flickering of the candle that was lit. I love the work of Jodie Foster, but I must say this was a great nap. What a good home. What a terrible attempt to make a DVD film Panic Room about a panic room. |
| Jodie must have been hard for some cash when they signed the dotted line for this installment of the factory production. I liked the thing, so I guess it should not complain, but I've come to expect more attempts at the noble quality of the actress [or is that the buzz word today?]. There were gobs of nail-biting stress, trucks loaded with violence, eyesful the sights and sounds that represent earsful what a bad thing for the almighty dollar world we live in. Yes, I had the whole film, but still lacked one ingredient always look at any Panic Room Thriller film and that is news. I do not find it here, even as I sat looking relaxed tension Foster fight to save his sick daughter and herself from the intelligent, the bad, and whiney. |
| This Panic Room Thriller film is a nice piece of work! The expected, or you need a Panic Room film or nervous wing Seven Fight Club, do not bother. This movie: Panic Room is not designed or intended to be what is not. The work is a great camera, the picture is great, acting is note perfect and given the script. Nothing too ambitious and Fincher Panic Room movie with the best uptime and fewer false notes so far. This is a classic thriller, much better than the negative comments of others led me to believe. The picture is perfect for the film. Which includes the virtual camera work. Yes, it seems like a David Fincher film, but it is not depressing and ugly as the other intentionally. The lighting works with the settings (3 am in a huge house.) Yes, it's violent, that's why it's rated R. No, not necessarily something you want to see a second time. This very entertaining 90 minutes of "what will happen now? Therefore, to suspend their disbelief a little, sit, and entertain. |
