Even in a world populated entirely by mechanical beings Rodney Copperbottom (McGregor) is considered a genius inventor. Rodney dreams of two things, making the world a better place and meeting his idol, the master inventor Bigweld (Brooks). On his journey he encounters Cappy (Halle Berry), a beautiful executive 'bot with whom Rodney is instantly smitten, the nefarious corporate tyrant Ratchet (Kinnear) who locks horns with Rodney, and a group of misfit 'bots known as the Rusties, led by Fender (Williams) and Piper Pinwheeler (Bynes).

Robots-This Robots movie is pure excellence from start to finish fascinating, this Robots film is Robin Williams at his best. I think the beginning of Robots lengthens a little, but when I take the train to Robot City, where the fun really starts. The scene where Robin Williams is the character of the slide is one of the best scenes of the film. My favorite has to be split (I think that's his name) - which always miss you. My favorite scene is at the end when all the robots are a good fighting evil robots and update the Fender is like wearing a school girl and belts Britney Spears No. 1 hit 'Hit Me Baby One More Time " while updating the robots beating on the head. 8 / 10 bright, but not a patch on Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc or The Incredibles.

More impressive are the action sequences, with the original idea of using the ball type pin-sequences as a form of transport. The DVD film Robots is visually stunning, there is never a dull moment visuals. My favorite is the domino sequence. That alone is worth a rental contract. Unfortunately, the images alone are not an empty and boring story. The story is as hollow as the characters and mechanics. It really is too bad that most of these cartoons come out uninspired writers is obvious, and unfunny. Movies like this have the possibility to appeal to adults as children. This no. A wittier, fun script could have made the difference. Normally I'm not a big Robin Williams fan, but he saved the Robots film from being as bad as the last few years "Shark's Tale."
