Talented but plagued by her owns demons Sylvia Plath's early relationship with husband and fellow poet, Ted Hughes, is dominated by Ted's ambition and success. In the early years of their marriage Sylvia lacks inspiration and increasingly senses Ted's infidelity. The unspoken question is whether Ted's extra-marital affairs are the result of Sylvia's own insecurities or whether Sylvia's deepening depression is exacerbated by her husbands philandering. It is only towards the end, when they are separated, that Sylvia is able to truly explore the dark depths of her soul and write the searingly brilliant poetry that earned her fame.

I confess that I am not a fan of Gwyneth Paltrow, does not feel like much contemporary poetry, and you do not like sniveling like a personality trait. I'm not even sure why I saw Sylvia, perhaps some sort of punishment for past sins. .. However, here it is: I am very happy to have. The Sylvia film is not perfect, but as claustrophic and pedestrians, gives real insight into the mind of a human being on the decline. Gwyneth Paltrow, in my opinion, has never been better. She gives a sad, surreal but powerful performance. One can not help feeling the pain of Sylvia and you can almost justify the final act. Injured birds are wounded bird has just been born. Sylvia Plath met perhaps his destiny. In any case, I was touched by their plight.

When I rented this movie, I thought it would be about Sylvia lifetime, or at least from his days at Smith College. I did not realize that her marriage to Ted Hughes would be the whole story. I think this film: Sylvia has been better had they shown more about the life of Plath, Ted Hughes BEFORE. For people who do not know much about Plath and her poetry, understanding the life of Hughes has made the movie: Sylvia much more substantial. The public needs to realize that Plath led a very, very hard mental life even before she met Hughes, and his ideas for his poetry and "bell jar" originated mainly from its Bachelorette days. She never recovered from their depression as a young woman and still married as branched Hughes. Plath, not understanding at the outset the understanding of the public in all Plath. I feel like the Sylvia Drama movie only told half the story. Plath's mind was beautiful, colorful and bright. It was not just jealousy, depression and paranoia. Put their work in the background actually took most of this movie. I wanted to see more of the Plath story and give us an idea of your mind, how do your full magazines. However, I liked the dialogue in this film, the lines were beautiful and poetic. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for a better DivX film Sylvia Sylvia Plath. I recommend people to read "The bell jar" and "Ariel" before or after seeing this film, however.
