| I saw this movie: 300 Spartans, The when he first arrived in 1962, I think, when I was a kid and still is one of my favorite movies of all time. As I got older there were some errors in what I realized. One was in the 300 Spartans, The Drama film someone says that the Spartans fight like machines. I do not think the word machines or machines in general were invented then. Could be wrong, though. Some other flaws, but I think is one of the best fighting army action movies.Reading about history books Persian wars seem fairly accurate. |
| A week after I finished my doctoral thesis on the life of Themistocles this movie: 300 Spartans, The was shown on TV and my hero was being played by Ralph Richardson. It is an impressive, stirring DivX Movie 300 Spartans, The based on the issues and events is in Herodotus. The scale of the DivX film 300 Spartans, The is its best feature, some of the acting (and accents) grate a bit, but shines through the story. |
| I was a teenager when I first saw this movie. I grew up in the old films show the 50's and 60's and believed that one holds quite well. No, it's not perfect with respect to history. The Spartans were not democratic or benevolent. However, they were extremely proud, very independent and great warriors. The 300 Spartans, The movie does a good job choreographed battle 2-3 days, given the budget constraints and FX of the first 60 years. Very similar to "Helen of Troy" in these respects. Richard Egan as Leonidas was excellent, but the script is very limiting for him and the rest of the cast. I will look forward to seeing the DVD film 300 Spartans, The which is of Steven Pressfield "Gates of Fire." Hopefully 40 + years of technology to create a truly epic, as befits an action (known to most school children today) which helped to preserve and promote Western civilization. |
| seen the DivX film 300 Spartans, The many times when least wanted to show the new now.still even looking. improved performance and better image of the actual facts. hounor and died with the last defense courage.and was very sad. movie.the wanted to show that realism and had to be maintained throughout the fabric of events that made the world, even the way they have today. if not for his courageous and heroic struggle of the battle is set the world on a different course. his emotion was much to see the 300 Spartans, The Drama movie and made him stay in his seat not want to miss anything. the main players was over and also shows the best hur.ect also ben .. this 300 Spartans, The Drama was years ahead of its time and would be a big box office hit now. |
| In 480 BC, the ambitious, cruel and merciless King Xerxes (David Farrar) of Persia invades Greece with his huge army to extend its vast slave empire. The brave Spartan army is the great hope to free and unite Greece and Ling Leonidas (Richard Egan) promises the Council of the Greek Stats to defend the pass of Thermopylae, the only way by land to Athens. However, is betrayed by the politicians of Sparta and stays alone with his personal body guard army composed of three one hundred warriors only. Use of courage and great knowledge of the strategies of war, he defends Thermopylae until a treacherous goatherd tells King Xerxes a secret passage from goat to the back of Leonidas's army. The epic "The 300 Spartans" is a great story of courage, heroism and idealism. This story has romance, action and drama with great performances and choreography in scenes of battle. I laughed a lot with the ingenuity of the old goatherd Phylon line - "Who can understand the way of the gods? Create lovely girls, and then turn them into wives." The use of red clothing by Spartan army to hide the blood of the enemy shows how the warriors were oriented to war. My vote is eight. Title (Brazil): "Os 300 of Sparta" ( "The 300 of Sparta) |
